If you sniff to people that you're in something like House of the Dragon, and they know that world, and you say, “Oh, I'm playing Helaena,” they'll say, “You know what's going on.” for you, right?” People on the train told me I was sitting next to it!

But nothing prepares you for the opening [the script] and being like, “Okay, they're doing this first episode.” What I really liked when I read the script was how simple they made it. Everything takes place in the present, in the immediate moment. And, you know, it's not too much dialogue. They don't try to do too much.

House Of The Dragon Season 2's Blood & Cheese Scene Is Brutal

Dragon House Season 2's Blood and Cheese scene received mixed reactions for making many changes to the infamous moment. In the book, Blood and Cheese is much more brutal. For example, Daemon hires the assassins to directly kill one of Aegon's children, rather than Aemond. Helaena is then forced to choose between Jaehaerys and Maelor, her two sons, the latter not existing in the series. Additionally, Alicent is in the room and is tied up, gagged and forced to watch.
