New York's Katzs Deli is hosting a pop-up in West Hollywood for one day only
New York's legendary Katz's Deli brings a arise to the city of West Hollywood for one night only at Bar Next Door, located at 9159 Sunset Boulevard. Known for its iconic pastrami sandwiches, Katz's Deli will offer pickup and delivery service exclusively on Postmates. Hours for the pop-up will be Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (limited sandwiches available).

The pop-up will feature Katz's homemade pickles and mustard as part of the meat selections. There will also be merchandise for sale showing some love for Katz's while supplies last.
Katz's Delicatessen has been perfecting pastrami sandwiches at 205 E. Houston Street on New York's Lower East Side since the 1880s. In 1888, a small grocery store named Iceland Brothers was established on Ludlow Street in the Lower East Side of New York by the Iceland brothers. When Willy Katz arrived in 1903, the store's name was officially changed to “Iceland & Katz.” Willy's cousin Benny joined him in 1910, buying out the Iceland brothers to officially form Katzs Delicatessen. Their landman Harry Tarowsky joined the partnership in April 1917. Katzs Deli was moved across the street to its current location during subway construction. The vacant lot on Houston Street (pronounced “House-ton” after a Dutch emigrant of the same name) housed barrels of meat and pickles until the current storefront was added between 1946 and 1949.
