Temple Theater Hosts 3rd Annual Hollywood in Meridian Event

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) Temple Theater hosted the 3rd Annual Rosebud and Nostalgic Musiq Productions in Meridian on Friday so community members could come out in their best dressed red carpet outfits to enjoy refreshments, take drinks, professional photos, interact with cast and crew, and enjoy the screening of four films.

This event celebrated Juneteenth by recognizing Black filmmakers, actors, directors, writers and crew.

Cinema is therefore also an art, and we like to make it known to local filmmakers, not just local ones. Like I said, we also went to Alabama to film. So we like to give people the opportunity to show off their talents. Actors, cast members, if you're a team, sound it all; anything geared toward African-American culture to celebrate black cinema, said host Randy Ferino.

The four short films HOTARU, ONE FOR EACH, COMPLY and DRINKS ON ME, as well as some music videos, were screened.

All ages were welcome. However, two of the films contained strong language.
