'He asked me to meet alone': Isha Koppikar on the dark side of Bollywood – Bollywood News

Recently, Isha Koppikar spoke candidly about some disturbing events that happened during her initial years of working in cinema. In an emotional interview with Siddharth Kannan, she narrated situations where she was approached inappropriately by well-known personalities.

Speaking in Hindi, Isha said, “A leading actor once asked me to see him alone, without my driver or anyone else, due to reports that he was associated with others women. He noted: “Staff are spreading rumors and there are already rumors. controversies about me.” I told him I couldn't come alone and refused. At the time, I was probably around 22 or 23 years old.

Isha also detailed a disturbing incident when she was just eighteen, involving a secretary and an actress who advised her to be “nice” to actors if she wanted a job. “I'm really nice, but what exactly does 'friendly' mean? I'm really nice; Ekta Kapoor once advised me to develop a certain attitude.” she says. She also explained that some would touch her inappropriately and ask her to be more “friendly” to the heroes in a shady way.

Making her Bollywood debut in 1998 with Ek Tha Dil Ek Thi Dhadkan, Isha starred in films including Fiza, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Company, Kaante, Pinjar and Dil Ka Rishta. She also starred with Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in Don.

Having met at a gym and knowing each other for three years, Isha married hotelier Timmy Narang in her personal life in 2009. While the couple separated earlier this year, they welcomed their daughter Rianna in July 2014.
