LOS ANGELES, California. Hollywood's “For Your Consideration” (FYC) billboards adorn the city throughout the year, but dazzling activations, exhibits and screenings have become increasingly popular, aiming to capture attention and votes for major award shows like the Emmys. .

During a colorful showcase for “RuPaul's Drag Race,” Emmy-winning costume designer Erica D. Schwartz expressed her joy at seeing the costumes up close and hearing directly from the designers.
“It’s great to see it on TV, but there’s something so special about live theater and dance and things coming to life,” Schwartz said. Season 16 cast member Sapphira Cristl said that, awards or not, these events have educational value, noting that they can attract new viewers to the show.
In West Hollywood, the Disney Expo featured popular shows such as “Capote Versus the Swans,” “The Bear” and “Abbott Elementary,” with screenings and panels focusing on specific shows each day.
Jessica Yu, director of “Quiz Lady,” enjoyed connecting with the audience and seeing their reactions to the film.
“It's great to have an event that's all about Quiz Lady, and everything here is sort of geared towards the elements of the film. And it's great to allow the public to be able to see it in a theater and to really doing it as a community event, which is great, especially for comedy,” Yu said.
Voting for Emmy nominations remains open until June 24, with nominations to be announced on July 17.
