Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal's wedding reception will host 1,000 guests, reveals DJ Ganesh

Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's post-wedding bash will be a star-studded affair, with DJ Ganesh performing at the lavish reception. In a viral video, we can see DJ Ganesh (Ranganathan) talking about performing at the reception which will be held at Mumbai's upscale restaurant Bastian on Linking Road, Bandra West.

The restaurant, owned by Shilpa Shetty, is now headed by Suvir Saran, a former Michelin-starred chef based in New York. DJ Ganesh, who has been on the decks since 1998, says in the clip: “I think there are 1,000 people invited. So I'm thinking about the full Bollywood mix-off until 4 in the morning.”

Her music goes with the flow, ranging from retro to hip-hop to commercial to lounge, but at the wedding party it'll probably be Bollywood. Of course, the big question is: which number will get Sonakshi into a dance? Sonakshi and Zaheer, the man she lovingly describes as her “personal psychopath,” have been dating for seven years.

Salman Khan, a family friend of Zaheer's who gave Sonakshi her Bollywood break in the action comedy “Dabbang” (2010), played Cupid. Zaheer also made his debut with 'Notebook', a Salman Khan film in which he starred alongside another debutant Pranutan Bahl, daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of Nutan.

Salman is said to have introduced Sonakshi to Zaheer on the set of 'Notebook' in 2017. Zaheer's father Iqbal Ratansi, who owns well-established jewelry and real estate businesses, is a childhood friend of Salman Khan.

Sonakshi, now best known for playing Faridan Bai, the main antagonist of “Heeramandi”, and Zaheer starred together in the critically acclaimed 2022 film “Double XL”, where he plays a London-based television producer, Zorawar Rahmani.

The 'Heeramandi' star's next film is the horror-comedy 'Kakuda', which also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem in lead roles.
