Sandlot actor Thomas Guiry, 43, accused of throwing 35-pound dumbbell at neighbor's Jeep and approaching front door with knife in hand
Actor Thomas Guiry, best known for playing Scotty Smalls in the 1993 comedy The Sandlot, was arrested earlier this month in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in connection with a series of incidents violent incidents involving his neighbor.
Horry County sheriff's officials said TMZ that Guiry was placed in police custody on June 2 for assault, disturbing public order and intentional damage.
Surveillance footage of the incident released by the news outlet showed Guiry throwing a dumbbell weighing an estimated 35 pounds at the window of a white Jeep in his neighbor's driveway, cracking the windshield.
In another clip posted to the site taken from the neighbor's doorbell camera, Guiry was seen appearing upset about standing shirtless at the entrance to the neighbor's house with a knife in his hand.
Police told the outlet that when they arrived at a disturbance call, Guiry was in the middle of the street asking questions about his wife.

Guiry is best known for playing the role of Scotty Smalls in the 1993 comedy The Sandlot.
His neighbor commented: “Really? My window was broken,” Guiry then promised to compensate the neighbor for the damage caused to the vehicle, according to police.
Guiry told the neighbor, according to law enforcement, “That sucks man, I'll pay you back, I'm sorry, I'll get you back.”
Guiry also admitted on the spot that he was responsible for the damage, declaring: “It was me who did it. I'm sorry man. I'll come back for you… I… sorry brother, I'll pay you back.'
Guiry has had previous run-ins with the law, having been arrested in August 2013 for felony assault of a police officer after head-butting a police officer at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport. TMZreported at the time.
In that incident, police told the outlet that Guiry became hostile after a United Airlines employee said he was too drunk to let him board a flight.
Police told the outlet that the officer told them he could be taken to a DUI or arrested for public drunkenness.
Guiry attacked the officer, trying to kick him and then headbutting him, after which he was taken into custody, police told TMZ.
Guiry was then transported to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and released June 3 on $1,000 bond. Page six reported.

His role in The Sandlot gave rise to the film's signature phrase, “You're killing me, Smalls,” actor Patrick Renna's character Ham Porter said in the film.
After The Sandlot, in which he appeared at the age of 11, Guiry continued to act over the years.
His most notable projects outside of baseball include the 2001 film Black Hawk Down and 2003's Mystic River, as well as appearances in several episodes of Law & Order.
Guiry played himself in a 2022 comedy called Kill Smallz which featured Goodfellas stars Tony Darrow and Joseph D'Onofrio.
