Livestock, Showcase Derby and Tracy Lawrence Hit West Liberty

The Muscatine County Fair will be held July 17-21 and this year's theme is “Time Flies.”

THE Bill Riley Talent Research will take place on Sunday at 4 p.m. Daily entertainment includes Lumberjacks chain saw artists, Chris Short Puppets, Charlie Pagesstilt walker and balloon artist, and the children's area.

Livestock shows

Wednesday – 4-H/FFA dog show 8 a.m., 4-H/FFA dairy goat show 10 a.m., 4-H/FFA meat goat show 2 p.m., 4-H/FFA production lamb show 5 p.m.;

Thursday – 4-H/FFA swine show 8:30 a.m., 4-H/FFA rabbit show 9 a.m.;

Friday – 4-H/FFA Beef Show 9 a.m., 4-H/FFA Poultry Show 2 p.m., 4-H/FFA Bucket Calf Show 3 p.m., 4-H/FFA Animal Show 4:30 p.m.;

Saturday 4-M/FFA sheep show 8 a.m., 4-M/FFA horse and pony show 8 a.m., ribbon auction 1:30 p.m.

Grandstand entertainment

Wednesday – Action car races 6:30 p.m.;

THURSDAY Donkey groceries 19 hours ;

Friday – East Central Iowa tractor to pull 7 p.m.;

Saturday concert by Tracy Laurent And Drew Baldridge 19 hours ;

Sunday – Demo Derby 11:00, trailer groceries 3 p.m.

THE carnival will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Sunday. Armbands cost $25 per day.

Fun passes $60 for adults and $20 for children, and can be purchased online or at the fair office. Fun Passes do not include trackside for concerts; that's an extra $10. Fun Passes include entry to the gate and all grandstand shows.

The Muscatine County Fairgrounds is located at 101 N. Clay St., West Liberty.
