Neil Young cancels remainder of tour, Hollywood Bowl show in jeopardy
Singer Neil Young and his band Crazy Horse are canceling the remainder of their tour, which includes two shows in Southern California.
In a statement on his websitethe band explained that a few band members became ill after their show at the Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan on May 22.
“We are not yet fully recovered, so unfortunately our big tour will experience a major unforeseen interruption,” the statement said. “We’ll try to play some of the dates we’re missing over time, when we’re ready to rock again!” We know many of you have plans to travel and we apologize for the inconvenience.
The band then thanked fans for their “understanding and patience.”
“Health is priority number one,” the statement continued.
“We want to stay and do more shows and more albums for you…and for us.”
On Ticketmaster, the band's July 8-29 concerts were marked as canceled.
They were scheduled to play the Ohana Fest in Dana Point, California on September 27 and, although it will be three months away, the festival noted that the band would no longer be performing.
“We are sad to announce that Neil Young and Crazy Horse will no longer be performing at Ohana Festival 2024,” the festival announced. Instagram Wednesday. “Please stay tuned for an update on upcoming programming as soon as possible; In the meantime, we wish the group a speedy recovery.
The band was scheduled to take the stage at the Hollywood Bowl on September 29 and although the show is not marked as canceled on the ticket website, an error occurs when trying to view information about the site for the Hollywood Bowl.
