Veteran Nollywood actor, Oludotun Jacobs is alive and well, contrary to rumours circulating on social media.
A Nigerian columnist, Betty Irabor, made this known in a message posted on her social media account on Sunday.
“Olu Jacob is fine and alive…please ignore all rumors about his passing. He is alive please,” she wrote.
Rumors of Jacobs' death had previously spread online without official confirmation.
This is not the first time that such news regarding the veteran actor has made headlines online.
In June 2020, a similar report went viral on Twitter (now X) and Facebook.
Monalisa Chinda-Coker, then spokesperson for the Actors Guild of Nigeria, later denied the report.
In August 2022, a rumor was also circulating regarding the actor's death.
His wife, Joke, later denied the news and threatened legal action against those who spread the information.
