Dubai-based YouTuber Khalid Al Ameri engaged to Tamil actor Sunaina? First wife confirms divorce
Social media was abuzz with news of the Dubai-based social media influencer Khalid Al Amiri would have gotten engaged to Tamil actor Sunaina Monday. On June 5, Sunaina had posted two hands (a man's and hers) holding each other with a lockdown emoji signifying that she had been locked up for life and was engaged. However, she has not revealed who her fiancé is.
In fact, the June 5 post was liked by Khalid Al Ameri and on June 26, Khalid posted a similar photo of the couple holding hands with a diamond ring on the girl's finger. So it's official that the two are indeed about to get married.
On July 1, his ex-wife Salama Mohamed also revealed in the latest episode of Nour Aldin Alyousufs' YouTube channel that she and Khalid were divorced. She said their divorce was finalized on February 14 this year.
YouTuber Khalid Al Ameri is a Stanford graduate. Khalid and Salama have become one of the most popular influencer couples in the Middle East, amassing millions of followers on their individual social media profiles.
Sunaina is mainly from Hyderabad and has worked mainly in Tamil films. She made her Tamil debut with actor Nakul in Kadhalil Vizhunthen in 2008. She was last seen in the Tamil crime thriller Inspector Rishi released in March on Amazon Prime Video.
Khalid, 40, announced his engagement five days ago on social media and many people in Dubai posted their congratulations. Like Sunaina, he also did not reveal who the fiancé was and it was stated that he would likely reveal more as the wedding date nears. Neither Sunaina nor Khalid reacted to the news of their marriage.
Reports indicate that they will probably get married this year.
Moreover, Khalid seems to be in Chennai at the moment as he posted a status on his Instagram profile talking about meeting at a restaurant. He is a good friend of Chennai-based YouTuber Irfan and had come to Chennai in 2023 to attend Irfan's wedding. Posting the wedding video, Khalid wrote, “Lots of love to Chennai and the amazing people there for their love and warm welcome” (heart emoji). I can't wait to come back and visit my family inshAllah. Khalid is said to come to Chennai quite often and has also attended events here (as seen on his Insta profile). In recent times, he has also interviewed many Indian celebrities including Mammootty.
