Tabu recalls Priyadarshan pouring a bottle of coconut oil on his head during the filming of Virasat: I didn't need to comb my hair | Bollywood News

For actor Taboodirector Priyadarshan action drama Legacy became a significant addition to her repertoire, with her performance earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics). “Priyan (Priyadarshan) wanted me to have greasy hair and a village look. So, the hairdresser told me to take some gel and apply it to give it a greasy look. When I came on set, he said, ‘I asked you to put some oil’. I said, ‘Yeah, a little. A nice shine is coming.’ So he left it and then came back with a bottle of coconut oil from behind and poured it all over my head. ‘That’s what I mean by having oil in your hair,’ he said. But then it was very easy for me. I didn’t need to do any hair styling. I used to get ready in five minutes. Long hair, apply oil, braid it and go to the set,” she recalls in a conversation with Zoom.

Tabu, one of the most celebrated actresses of Indian cinema and a two-time National Award winner, is set to return to the silver screen for the second time this year. Following the massive success of her heist comedy Crew earlier this year, she will next be seen in the romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Pandey and starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The film is slated to release on July 5.
