Actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha hospitalized days after daughter Sonakshi's wedding

Veteran Bollywood actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha was admitted to a Mumbai hospital after falling ill after his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's wedding.

Indian media reported that the 77-year-old, known for his iconic Bollywood roles and prominent political career, was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and is receiving treatment for a viral fever.

His son Luv Sinha told reporters: “We have decided to hospitalise him to ensure speedy recovery and to carry out his annual health check-ups.”

Luv Sinha also dismissed reports suggesting that his father had undergone surgery.

“I visit the hospital daily. There has been no surgery; he is just recovering from a viral fever,” he assured.

Speculations arose when Sonakshi Sinha and her husband Zaheer Iqbal were spotted leaving Kokilaben Hospital on June 28.

However, it was clarified that they were visiting Shatrughan Sinha, not for any other reason.

Sinha's hospitalisation comes just days after his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's interfaith wedding with Zaheer Iqbal.

On June 23, actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony, confirming their love in a beautiful private celebration.

The newlyweds were recently photographed walking hand-in-hand for a family dinner in Mumbai.

Sinha, who transitioned from a successful film career to politics, has been a prominent figure in both fields for decades. He has served as an MP and has been actively involved in various political activities.
