Phoenix Restaurant Receives Visit from Famous Latino Actor and Footballer

PHOENIX (AZ family) Restaurant Phénix Beautiful Seafood Beach I received a special visit on Sunday morning.

Ted Lasso actor Cristo Fernandez and soccer legend Hector Herrara stepped up to send owner Emmanuell Maldonado and his family to the COPA America games.

Fernandez and Herrara helped prepare food, clear tables and chat with customers.

“It means a lot to us. We’re a small, family-owned Latino business located in Phoenix, Arizona. We work really hard, like so many small businesses here in town, and we do our best every day. So to have this experience. To have this spotlight shine on us, not only as a family, but as a business here in town, it means the world to us,” Maldonado said.

Maldonado and his family have owned the restaurant since 2002 and said it's been a long struggle to get it right. But they thank the community, Fernandez and Herrara, for all their support.

Maldonado said the restaurant will be closed for renovations, but will reopen on July 5.
