Nawazuddin Siddiqui is considered one of the finest actors in the current film industry, having starred in films like The Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur, Kahaani and Sacred Games. However, the actor has also faced a lot of discrimination in the film industry due to his looks.
In a new interview with News18, Nawazuddin shared that he considers himself the “physically ugliest actor in the film industry” today and explained why.
“I don’t know why some people hate our looks. Maybe it’s because we are just ugly. Even I feel it when I look in the mirror. I wonder why I entered the film industry with such an ugly appearance,” he said.
He said: “I am the ugliest actor in the film industry. I have heard it for so long that I have started to believe it. I have no complaints about the film industry.”
Nawazuddin also added that he was grateful for the opportunities he received playing a variety of characters during his career.
He was last seen in Haddi, which released on OTT platform Zee5. His most recent release is Rautu Ka Raaz, which also released on Zee5 on June 28. Directed by Anand Surapur, the mystery drama also stars Atul Tiwari, Rajesh Kumar and Narayani Shastri.
