The Pakistani hunk, known for his captivating charm and impressive acting skills, left a void in Bollywood after his last appearance in 2016 in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. But worry no more, because according to Filmfare, Fawad Khan is all set to make a much-awaited comeback! The publication has revealed that Fawad Khan is all set to star alongside Vaani Kapoor in a new film, marking his much-awaited return to Bollywood.

The report states that sources have confirmed that the film will begin shooting soon, with London serving as the initial location. While pre-production is complete, the producers are keeping the rest of the project under wraps. This secrecy strategy suggests that the producers are aware that they have a shot at casting and want to maximize the impact of the announcement.

Fawad Khan enjoys huge international popularity due to his popularity among South Asians across the world. He has also been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The details of this project are being kept under wraps and everyone is keeping tight-lipped about it. The producers will announce this project just before the start of the shoot in the UK, informs a trade source Bollywood HungamaThis international project is a Hindi film that will be shot entirely in the UK. The film is directed by Aarti Bagdi.

The as-yet-untitled film is Eastwood Studios' first international collaboration. Eastwood Studios is a film production company founded by Vivek B Agrawal (ex-Reliance/Phantom) and Devang Dholakia. Vivek has previously produced acclaimed and cult films like Queen, Udta Punjab, Super 30 and Netflix's first series in India, Sacred Games which became a global blockbuster on the platform.

This romantic comedy is about how two broken people meet by chance and end up helping each other unintentionally. Falling in love is the result of their electric connection. Vaani Kapoor has acted in big films and she was the perfect choice for this project, given the way she has protected herself from overexposure. The producers wanted an incredibly fresh cast where Fawad falls in love with a beautiful Indian girl and Vaani fits in perfectly, informs the source.

Fawad Khan's absence from Bollywood films is due to the political tensions between India and Pakistan in 2016. After the Uri attack, several Pakistani actors including Fawad faced restrictions on working in India. This led to his exit from ongoing projects and left fans heartbroken. However, in December 2023, the ban was lifted.

However, Fawad Khan was last seen in Pakistan's highest grossing blockbuster. The Legend of Maula Jatt and international series Ms. Marvel.

On the work front, Fawad Khan has several projects in the pipeline. Starting with ZEE5 and Zindagis Barzakhwhich is scheduled for worldwide release on July 19. It will be followed by Shandurapparently planned for SonyLIV platform.
