Fawad Khan FINALLY Returns To Bollywood After Eight-Year Gap With This Actress – Details Inside!
The last time we saw Fawad Khan in Bollywood was in 2016. It was in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which marked Fawad's last appearance in an Indian film before political tensions between India and Pakistan led to a complete ban on artists from the neighbouring country.
However, things seem to be looking up after the ban is lifted in December 2023. And, if the latest reports are to be believed, Fawad Khan has signed his first Bollywood film after a gap of eight years.

Is Fawad Khan FINALLY Making His Bollywood Comeback?
Fawad Khan, according to a report by Filmfare, has finally signed his first Bollywood project after eight years. He is reportedly starring opposite Vaani Kapoor. While the name of the film is not revealed, we know that the two will be shooting a portion of the film in London.
The report states that Fawad has been roped in with Vaani Kapoor for a film that is set to go into production soon. The insider also revealed that the shooting of the untitled project will begin soon in London. The film is currently in pre-production.
When were Pakistani artists banned in India?
Pakistani artistes have been banned from working in India after the All India Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) passed a resolution to ban Pakistani actors from working in the industry following the Uri attack.
At the time, IMPPA president TP Aggarwal had said: “IMPPA in its 87th annual general meeting passed a resolution that no Pakistani will be employed by its producer members forever.”
Besides Fawad Khan, artistes like Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Rahet Fateh Ali Khan among other actors, singers, musicians, lyricists and technicians faced difficulties and had to stop working in India.
However, in December 2023, a petition seeking an outright ban on Indian individuals, companies and organisations from working with Pakistani artists, including actors, singers, musicians, lyricists and technicians, was dismissed by the Bombay High Court. Justices Sunil B. Shukre and Firdosh P. Pooniwalla presided over the court, which ruled that the petition lacked substance and was a “retrograde step in the promotion of cultural harmony, unity and peace”.
Fawad Khan's new projects
While we are yet to get any more information about Fawad Khan's Bollywood comeback project, he will soon be seen in a series titled Barzakh. With this, he will be reuniting with his Zindagi Gulzar Hai co-star Sanam Saeed. The show will start airing from July 19.
Fawad will also feature in Pakistani Netflix's first project, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. The actor is also producing and starring in Neelofar with Mahira Khan.
He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his romantic comedy Khoobsurat (2014), which marked his Bollywood debut. After starring in the family drama Kapoor & Sons (2016), he received further critical acclaim and was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
