Fawad Khan to do Bollywood musical after 8 years with Vaani Kapoor
Indian movie buffs have been eagerly waiting for Fawad Khan's return to Hindi cinema for almost eight years now. The wait is finally over as the actor is set to make his much-awaited comeback alongside Vaani Kapoor.
According to reports from Filmfare, the Pakistani actor is all set to make his Bollywood comeback alongside Vaani Kapoor in a new film which is about to begin production.
According to sources, the film is set to begin shooting in London soon, with pre-production already completed. Specific details of the project are being kept under wraps as the producers are keen to keep their casting under wraps.
This romantic comedy is about how two broken people are brought together by a stroke of luck and end up helping each other without meaning to… falling in love is an eventual byproduct of their electric connection.
The project is expected to be commissioned in September this year and completed in November.
Fawad's return to Bollywood comes after the Bombay High Court dismissed a petition seeking a complete ban on collaborations between Indian citizens, companies and associations and Pakistani artistes, including actors, singers, musicians, lyricists and technicians. Justices Sunil B Shukre and Firdosh P Pooniwalla ruled that the petition was a “retrograde step in the promotion of cultural harmony, unity and peace” and found it to be without merit.
The Supreme Court on November 28 dismissed the petition seeking a ban on hiring Pakistani artists in India.
Meanwhile, Fawad was last seen in Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and 'Kapoor and Sons'.
