Matt Damon and Ben Affleck thriller 'RIP' coming to Netflix

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's latest collaboration is coming to Netflix.

The streaming service has acquired the rights to RIPthe thriller directed by Joe Carnahan, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. Damon and Affleck's production company, Artists Equity, is behind the project.

Damon and Affleck will star in the film together and will also serve as producers. Plot details have not yet been revealed.

THR Last month, it was reported that the film project was being marketed in the city, with a target of filming in the fall.

The two stars, who won Oscars for their work on the screenplay for Goodwill huntingrecently starred together in Amazon's Air Jordan film, Airdirected by Affleck. Damon and Affleck have also appeared together in films such as Dogma And The Last Dueland they starred in a Dunkin' Donuts commercial that aired during this year's Super Bowl.

Other Artists Equity projects include Affleck's upcoming sequel to Accountant and the film directed by Jennifer Lopez unstoppableboth of which landed at Amazon MGM Studios. Artists Equity, which was founded with the aim of offering profit participation to more cast and crew members, is also behind the Cillian Murphy drama Little things like these which Lionsgate is set to release.

Damon next stars alongside Affleck's brother Casey Affleck in Apple's Doug Liman-directed film The instigatorswhich also comes from Artists Equity and is set for release next month. Affleck's recent credits include Robert Rodriguez's 2023 thriller Hypnotic.

Carnahan's previous feature films as a director include Police workshop (2021), Grey (2011), Smoking aces (2006) and Narc (2002).
