Hence the series of summer parties at Tucson's historic hotels, from concerts to this weekend's wet and wild American party.
The event is apparently legendary, entertainment staff at the Congress Hotel said. It's a 21-and-over event that will feature a water slide, live entertainment and plenty of adult beverages, said entertainment staff member Chris Monzon.
The Wet Hot American Party kicks off at 9 p.m. Friday, July 5, on the Plaza Stage at the Congress Hotel, 311 E. Congress. Admission is free.
The Summer Party series kicked off June 23 with Terrence Simien and the Zydeco Experience. It returns July 20 with the Desert Haze Vintage Market Summer Party, featuring performances by Los Angeles bands. Charities And The McCharmlysAdmission is $5 and doors open at 7 p.m.
