Neeraj spoke about the casting process and described it as “funny” and said that he sent the script to Naseeruddin Shah, but after about a month, the actor's manager told him that Naseer didn't like the film. “His manager said he didn't like it. He didn't want to do it and I moved on and started looking for someone else,” he shared.

But after some time, Neeraj got a call from Naseer late at night. “He told me that I have just finished reading your script. My first reaction was to tell your manager that you don’t like it. He asked me when I wanted to meet him. We met the next day and that’s how this journey began,” he shared.
The film starred Naseeruddin Shah as an anonymous vigilante who seeks revenge for the numerous terrorist attacks that have killed countless Indians.
