The talented and versatile actor of Indian film industry, who has starred in hits like Franchise Masti, Saathiya, Omkara, Shootout at Lokhandwala And Business Among other things, he recently confided that he had not gotten films because of lobbying in Bollywood.

“I have been doing other businesses for quite some time now. There was a period in my life when my films were successful, my performances were appreciated, but for other reasons, if you don’t get any roles at all, when you become a victim of a system and a lobby, you have only two options: either you get depressed or you take it as a challenge and write your own destiny. I chose the latter path and ended up starting several businesses,” the actor told India News.

In a recent interview with Mirchi Plus, the actor also revealed how Akshay Kumar helped him when a certain section of Bollywood boycotted him. “Bata kya problem chal rahi hai teri life mein? he asked me and then let me vent, express my problems, my pain. He listened to me patiently and said, I can help you with a positive mindset. There are several shows going on, and you have hit songs. I am shooting a lot, so I can't do those shows, but whatever requests come my way, I will convey them to you. Do it,” Oberoi revealed.
