Renukaswamy murder case: Bengaluru court extends judicial custody of actor Darshan, other accused till July 18 | Bengaluru News
The magistrate heard the case of all 17 accused, including Darshan and Pavithravia video conference from Bengaluru and Tumakuru jails, where they are currently being held, as their judicial custody ended today.
Police sources revealed that Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old fan of the actor, allegedly sent inappropriate messages to Gowda, which infuriated Darshan and led to the fan's murder. Renukaswamy's body was found near a storm drain adjacent to an apartment in Sumanahalli on June 9.
Raghavendra, one of the accused and a member of Darshan's fan club in Chitradurgaallegedly lured Renukaswamy to a shed in RR Nagar, claiming that the actor wanted to meet him. It was in this shed that Renukaswamy was allegedly tortured and eventually killed.
The autopsy report said that Renukaswamy, a native of Chitradurga, succumbed to shock and haemorrhage caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
According to police sources, Pavithra Gowdathe main accused, was the main instigator of the murder of Renukaswamy. The investigation is said to have proved that she had not only instigated the other accused to commit the murder but had also conspired with them and actively participated in the crime.
