Hong Kong actor Lee Lung Kei, 73, says many women want to date him after his fiancée was jailed: 'The world is full of temptations'

Hong Kong actor Lee Lung Kei, 73, recently admitted he was surprised by the 25-month prison sentence handed down to his 36-year-old fiancée, Chris Wong.

Wong, a Chinese national, was convicted of five charges on June 19, including two counts of violating his conditions of stay, one count of using false documents, one count of making false statements to obtain an entry permit and one count of making a false statement to immigration officials.

In an interview with Hong Kong media, Lee expressed dismay at the unexpected length of Wong's imprisonment, admitting that he cries late at night or when sad music is played.

The former TVB star revealed that many women asked him to be his girlfriend after Wong was incarcerated, which he saw as a test.

“I have to do my best because this world is full of temptations. Right now, I can be sure that my feelings for Wong will not change,” he said.

Lee stressed that he would continue to support Wong, whose real name is Wang Qingxia.

Every time I visit her, I will tell her not to worry. I swore I would marry her, he said.

Lee admitted that he initially thought Wong was after his fortune. However, his view changed in 2019 when Wong decided to support him after his divorce.

During the interview, the actor clarified that the rumor that he transferred his seven properties to Wong was not true.

In fact, there were eight properties and all of them were transferred to his ex-wife after their divorce.

I started over, entirely for Chris in 2019. She knows I transferred the properties to my ex-wife, but continues to face the world with a man like me in his 60s without asking questions, he said.

As for Wong's conviction, Lee said her actions stemmed from an overwhelming love for him.

She wrote me 122 letters. All this happened because she loves me too much. She tried everything to stay by my side, which led her to do a lot of stupid things, he said.
