Three Jolly Coachmen's Coffee House to Feature Poisoned Dwarf on July 12
The Three Jolly Coachmen's Coffee House concert series has announced Williamsburg-based Celtic band Poisoned Dwarf as its headliner at its upcoming concert on Friday, July 12.
Music begins at 7:30pm in the Lewis Hall of Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, 330 W. Duke of Gloucester Street.
“Poisoned Dwarf delivers a live performance like no other,” according to Paul Vosteen of Allegheny Mountain Radio. “Whether it’s traditional tunes from Ireland and Scotland, or lesser-known Celtic music from Spain, Wales and France, their onstage banter and camaraderie make you feel like you’re at a traditional session in your local pub and having the time of your life.”
Organizers said a portion of ticket sales for each Coffee House concert and 100 percent of all beverage donations go to a local charity. This month, the Coffee House is partnering with FISH, the volunteer-run nonprofit that provides food, clothing and small household items to those in need living in Williamsburg, James City County and York County.
The Coffee House hosted 11 concerts over two seasons, 10 sold out, donating a total of $12,400 to local charities including the Williamsburg House of Mercy, Grove Christian Outreach Center, Meals on Wheels, SpiritWorks and Colonial CASA.
