Heslin, best known for his role in the 2023 thriller series “Lioness,” died earlier this week at the age of 30. His husband announced Friday that Heslin succumbed to an “unexpected cardiac event” on July 2 after a “week-long battle in the hospital.”

Despite his young age and perfect health, Dynamo said doctors “have no explanation for what happened” to Heslin. He added that Heslin, a dedicated organ donor, had also “given the gift of life to four different families” through his donations.

The couple had been together since 2018 and tied the knot less than a year ago, in November 2023. They also recently started planning a family and were even in the process of choosing names for their baby.

In an article on InstagramDynamo shared a heartfelt eulogy and a series of photos. He said Heslin died three weeks before his 31st birthday and four months before their first wedding anniversary.

Dynamo described his late partner as the “world's most perfect father” and expressed his desire to name his future son after Heslin, noting that he hopes to raise him to be at least half the man his husband was.

He went on to say that Heslin was his “best friend and soulmate,” calling him “the sweetest, most caring, most loving man on earth.”

Reflecting on Heslin's final moments, Dynamo wrote: “When I felt you take your last breath, my heart shattered into a million pieces.”

He added: “If I had the power to trade places with you, I would do it instantly. But I will take things one day at a time, as you always told me, and I will live each day in your honor.”

Dynamo said Heslin was “brilliant, selfless, talented and a true guardian angel” and “single-handedly helped me through multiple rounds of cancer” after I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in the fall of 2020.

“He was the first person everyone called to share the good news, and he was the perfect person to call if they needed a shoulder to lean on or the best advice,” he wrote.

The grieving spouse added: “Michael, meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me. You are my world. You are my everything.”

Despite his grief, Dynamo acknowledged that Heslin was now in a better place, noting: “Heaven has gained another angel.”

He concluded his heartfelt tribute with a quote from Shania Twain: “I will love you 'forever and ever.'”

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to cover funeral and hospital expenses and to support Heslin's loved ones. Friends and family are remembering the late actor as someone who was always willing to help others.

“There are many ways to define a person and their impact, and Mike represents many great things to so many. But the word we keep coming back to is Helper. In that spirit Mike, it’s time for us to be the Helpers,” the fundraiser’s organizer wrote.
