Emerging actor Mike Heslin has died at the age of 30 from an unexpected cardiac event, his husband has announced.

The New York-based actor and model spent a week in the hospital before his death on July 2, according to musician Scotty Dynamo.

My husband, best friend and soulmate passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week-long battle in the hospital, he wrote on Instagram.

Michael was young, perfectly healthy, and doctors have no explanation for what happened.

Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented and a true guardian angel.

Heslin has starred in several episodes of the television shows The Influencers and Lioness, as well as the 2023 film The Holiday Proposal Plan.

He has been represented by Bella Agency as a model, while he and Dynamo have a significant following on social media platforms, including TikTok.

In his tribute, Dynamo said: “Heslin single-handedly helped me through my battle with testicular cancer.

He was the first person everyone called to share good news, and he was the perfect person to call if they needed a shoulder to lean on or the best advice, he wrote.

He was truly the sweetest, most caring, loving man on the planet, and he brought out the best in everyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

He moved through life with such ease and confidence, and transformed everyone around him into a better version of themselves.

No matter how tough things got, we knew nothing could be overcome with Mike by our side.

He said his heart broke into a thousand pieces when he felt you take your last breath.
