The “General Hospital” and “Knot's Landing” actor was 75 years old
Doug Sheehan, an actor known for his breakthrough role as Joe Kelly in General Hospital and like Ben Gibson on Landing of the nodesamong many other credits, has passed away. Born April 27, 1949, in Santa Monica, Sheehan landed his first on-screen role in a 1978 episode of Charlie's Angels. He then joined the cast of the daytime television soap opera. His other television credits include episodes of Bravo, Columbo, MacGyver, Murder Diagnosis and others. His last screen roles came in 2003, as Sabrina's (Melissa Joan Hart) father, Edward Gibson, in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and in a guest role in What I like about you.
Sheehan appeared in three films during his career, starting in 1979 ten with Bo Derek and Dudley Moore, Victor/Victoria (1982) and more recently The Cops and Roberts in 1995.
