Akshay Kumar's last film Sarfira didn't do as well as expected. Ahead of the release of the drama, the actor gave an interview to Galatta Plus' Baradwaj Rangan and said that people in the industry are happy that his films are not doing well.
Kumar said, “People like to see this when 3-4-5 films don't work. I have seen it myself. People (in the industry) are happy that the visuals are so beautiful.” He then talked about the failure of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Samrat Prithviraj and said that the latter failed because there were flaws in the script.

Akshay added that he started living in Sion Koliwada area of Mumbai when he came to the city with his family. “I swear to God, there was not a single day when we did not smile or laugh. Now that we have money, we sometimes feel sad. However, at that time, there was nothing sad. We used to eat dal chawal, jeera aloo, aloo gobi, bhindi and we were happy,” he said.
