State Suspends Licenses of Hollywood Car Dealers Due to Criminal Investigation

HOLLYWOOD, Florida A South Florida car dealership is no longer licensed to operate in the state of Florida following a Local 10 News investigation.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has revoked Dream Auto Collections' license as part of an emergency suspension.

As Local 10 reported earlier this month, this dealership took hundreds of thousands of dollars from a customer and never delivered his SUV. We're talking $275,000.

In this case, the victim, Alan Sue, was promised a refund.

Days after the Local 10 story was published, investigators went to Dream Auto, located at 3837 Pembroke Road in Hollywood, to go through records.

During our previous visit, Dream Auto's Oleg Tyulenev declined to discuss the allegations, but he now faces state investigators.

Tyulenev and his partner Viktor Stefurc are no longer licensed to operate in Florida.

The order states that the suspension is necessary to protect the public welfare.

Despite all this, the victims seem abandoned to their fate.

“I haven’t seen a dime,” Sue told Local 10 member Jeff Weinsier when asked what she was promised in reimbursement. “We have several new investigators working on the case.”

Sue, who lives in Hawaii, saw a 2023 Mercedes G63 with an exclusive Brabus appearance package on the Dream Auto Collections website.

He struck a deal with Stefurc of Dream Auto for $275,000.

Documents show Sue transferred the money to Dream Auto Collection.

They were supposed to ship the G-Wagen to a port in San Diego, but it never arrived, and Dream Auto, Stefurc and his team ignored Sue until Local 10 News got involved.

Stefurc claims to be in Russia.

Viktor texted me, “Happy 4th of July, don't worry, I'm working really hard to get all your money back,” Sue said. That was the last I heard from Viktor.

The emergency order also states that Dream Auto advertised several vehicles as available for sale online, despite the fact that those vehicles were not on the lot or owned by the dealership.

In Florida, dealers must obtain a $25,000 bond to operate.

Customers like Sue can file a claim against this deposit to get a refund if something like this happens, but it looks like Sue isn't the only one.

And only $25,000?!

They informed me that they had several claims before me, regarding this $25,000 claim, Sue said.

That's not all.

Local 10 News has learned that BRABUS is suing Dream Auto Collection, claiming that several G Wagons they were selling, including the one Sue paid for, were modified with counterfeit BRABUS branding.

Apparently, unbeknownst to me, the car I bought was not a real BRABUS, it was a fake, Sue said.

The 40-year-old German company and its select subsidiaries are known for modifying engines, interiors and badges with aftermarket packages that can cost up to $200,000.

No one at Dream Auto wanted to comment on Tuesday.

As for Sue, when Local 10 spoke to him last month, he was suicidal about the situation.

I'm tearing my hair out, trying to stay calm, Sue said. Seriously Jeff, I've thought about killing myself.

Now he feels better.

Hoping to get his money back, but realistic about the situation.

“I’m still alive, the sun is shining and I’m grateful,” he said. “I was in a very dark situation. No one was coming forward to help me. The likelihood of me getting my money back at this point seems increasingly slim.”

Criminally, the Hollywood Police Department and the state attorney general's office are investigating.

Sue filed a complaint with the FBI, but they have no comment.
