His wife caught him in a compromising situation with a Bollywood actress in his makeup van on a film set. She caught him red-handed and told him, ‘I don’t want a film of our wedding.’”
Vishal narrated how the situation unfolded: “I tried to contact the groom, but he didn’t respond. When I called the bride, she said, ‘Don’t talk to me, I don’t want the wedding film!’ Desperate to find a solution, I called the groom’s manager, who simply said, ‘Dude, it’s not happening, we don’t want the film.’ At that point, I wondered what to do with the footage. Should I sell it to Netflix? This incident made me change the terms of my contract. Now, I charge 100% upfront because weddings are about the heart, marriage, life and family.”
Despite the drama, Vishal chose not to press the couple for the remaining payment. He still has the footage, which he described as containing some painfully ironic moments. “In the film, the groom is crying saying, I love you, baby. It's all fake crocodile tears. He's a big Bollywood actor, but I won't name names. The value of that footage is in the millions, it could easily make a comedy film. I could sell it and make a fortune,” Vishal revealed, looking directly into the camera and adding, “You know who you are!”
