There have been several rumours that Sumona Chakravarti did not leave The Kapil Sharma Show on her own, with some reports claiming that she was not even informed about Kapil's new show, The Great Indian Kapil Show. Some have claimed that Sumona was 'angry' with Kapil. Now, in an interview with News18The actor denied all the rumors, saying there was no truth in it. The former Bade Achhe Lagte Hai actress is back in India after shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 in Romania. The buzz has intensified during her absence.

Speaking about this, Sumona said: “It’s really weird because a few days ago there was a really good article. I had spoken to a journalist and said the exact opposite. Then, of course, two days later, another publication decided to write an article that said the exact opposite. I had nothing to say because I was also in Romania.”

“I have said this many times, I was part of a show that ended in July last year and it’s not like I left or quit or got fired, the show ended in July and after that we all moved on. We took up our individual projects after that. I am doing Khatron Ke Khiladi. He (Kapil Sharma) has done another show. It’s just that there is no hard feeling at all. Why should I be angry (with Kapil)? He and I have worked before and I went to Romania,” she added.

Sumona was an integral part of Kapil Sharma's comedy show when it aired on the small screen in Comedy Nights With Kapil and later in The Kapil Sharma Show.

She was also asked if she gets discouraged by reading all the negative reports about herself, to which the 36-year-old actress confessed that it doesn't affect her anymore. It used to affect her 20 years ago when she started her career. Today, she has found a mantra to detach herself from the negativity, and that is by repeating and believing in this phrase: “Your opinion of me is not my responsibility.”

What's next for her?

Sumona is not part of The Great Indian Kapil Show. However, she will be seen in the adventure reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, which will premiere on July 27.

She said that she surprised herself by joining the show and is really excited for her fans to see this side of her personality with the upcoming airing of the show. The actress admits that she is also looking forward to seeing how she fares on the show's adventure meter.
