There's Only One Actor Who Can Take Over Hugh Jackman's Role as Wolverine in the MCU

It's been difficult to imagine an actor replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, with the character inevitably making his way to the MCU via Deadpool.
Jackman has played Wolverine for nearly 25 years, and it's almost impossible to think that after all this time seeing him again in this film and possibly in The Avengers, he would be recast.
While I think keeping Jackman remains the most likely option, there is a second choice, and really only a second choice that makes sense.
If it's not Jackman or he simply doesn't want to continue, his successor should very clearly be Dafne Keen, who played a young X-23 in Logan, and thanks to a new trailer, we know she'll appear in Deadpool and Wolverine.

I've said before that Keen is a rising action star, and her taking on the role of X-23, who would eventually become Wolverine himself in the comics, is the logical, non-Jackman endgame if they decide to go that route. It would keep Jackman's original Logan intact for possible future appearances, but Keen would be taking on the role of Wolverine.
She made a huge impression in Logan and, more recently, The Acolyte, where she took part in one of the best lightsaber fights in Star Wars history, without exaggeration.
Keen is a compelling actress, a brilliant fighter on screen, and the only choice I can imagine making sense here. I also suspect that if Laura was shown in the Deadpool trailer, which was a bit of a spoiler, what they said could What's hidden is his appearance as a more fully equipped X-23 or Wolverine from his universe where the original Wolverine remains dead and buried, as Ryan Reynolds said, they weren't going to reverse that moment or ruin that canon.
I still think Jackman is the first choice given that he seems reinvigorated in the role and it's hard to see him potentially recast with another guy. But Laura is already embedded in the story and now the MCU multiverse and I think she's a great second bet if they're indeed going to retire Jackman's yellow jersey after this.
Update (23/07): There's a new quote from Marvel's Kevin Feige about the future of Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in the MCU, by collider:
It's definitely, “Let's get this done.” But as we sit here talking, and the movie comes out in a week, and it's been finished for a few weeks, there's definitely been a lot of discussion like, “That was fun. What should we do next?”
It's hard to tell if Feige is being coy and there's actually something that's been in the works for a while, or if this is truly a concept that's just begun. We've seen previous rumors that Jackman's Wolverine would stick around for at least the next two Avengers movies, making a jump across the multiverse into the MCU for this story at least as a main character in those stories, but with the changes in writers, directors, and titles (are they still doing Secret Wars?) that remains to be seen.
Again, I think the bigger question here is whether or not Jackman will remain Wolverin in the new era of mutants that Feige says is starting now. I still think it's likely, though as I said, Keen would be a great second choice, and either way, I still think she should be there, even if Logan is there too.
