Santa Claus will visit Ocean City on July 24 as part ofCrazy Wednesday Christmas in Julycelebration at the Ocean City Music Pier.
Families are invited to visit Santa from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and enjoy the sounds of the season with Christmas Musical Bingo at 11 a.m.
The Salvation Army will be there with the famous Brass Band performing live music and their iconic bell ringers spreading some cheer.
Wacky Wednesdays are free and run every week with different themes throughout the summer.
Santa Claus will return to the promenade on Wednesday evening toFamily eveningwhich features stilt walkers, magicians, favorite characters and more set up at various locations between 8th and 12th Streets. Santa will be available for photos at the 11th Street Pavilion.
Family evenings take place from 7pm to 9pm every Monday and Wednesday during the summer.
Mummers Night will feature string bands strutting the promenade between 6th Street and 14th Street. Family Nights and Mummers Nights will take place in July and August andThe Nights of the Mummiesfrom 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ocean City Fishing Club will welcome the public to tour its private fishing club14th Street Piertwice this summer in hopes of breaking records set last year for donations to the local Ocean City Ecumenical Council food pantry.
The club is joining a challenge by Mayor Jay Gillian to donate non-perishable food items in memory of Regina Ralston, the Food Cupboard's director, who passed away earlier this year.
The first open day is scheduled forThursday July 25while the second will take place on Thursday, August 8. The pier, located at the corner of 14th Street and the Boardwalk, will be open to the public from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. both evenings.
Visitors to the wharf are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or make cash donations. The open days coincide with Mummers Nights on the town’s promenade.
In 2023, 2,112 visitors to the pier brought 385 pounds of food and donated $1,924 in cash to benefit the local food agency. Each of the two open houses held on the pier last year broke previous records for donations to the Ocean City Food Cupboard.
Fishing club members will be on hand to guide visitors and answer questions about the pier and the organization. The pier extends nearly 750 feet from the boardwalk, above the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

Friday,July 26,the fun begins with the20th Edition of the Chip Miller Surf FestA morning of surfing brings together supporters and participants at 7thStreet Surfing.
The participants range from those who have never sat on a board to seasoned pros. Better yet, there are dozens of categories and prizes for kids, adults, families, novices and experts, as well as a nice mix of businesses on site offering merchandise, clothing, surf gear and a few giveaways for the crowd.
Surf Fest also welcomes Heart of Surfing, a nonprofit organization that provides free surfing and skateboarding lessons to families with autism and other developmental disabilities. Additionally, the NJ Board Riders Association will assist in organizing and judging the competition.
SATURDAY,July 27, the slide for amyloidosisAndTaste of OCThe festivities will take place at OC Waterpark (Plymouth Place and Boardwalk). From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., attendees will enjoy full access to the waterpark, followed by food tastings from some of the area's best establishments.
Rates vary by event, with early bird savings options available. The Waterpark and Tasting option is limited to 400 people, so early registration is recommended.
