Salman Khan named Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi in the chargesheet filed by the Mumbai Police.

Salman Khan has given his statement in the chargesheet filed by the Mumbai Police in connection with the shooting incident outside his house. The actor told the police that he believes the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was responsible for the shooting at his residence in April as reported Salman Khan said he heard a sound similar to a firecracker while sleeping in his Galaxy Apartments residence in the early hours of April 14, indicating an attempt on his life and his family members. Salman accuses Lawrence Bishnoi of plotting to kill him

The actor's bodyguard informed him around 4:55 am that two people on a motorbike had fired on the balcony on the first floor. Salman added that there had already been attempts to harm him and his family. His bodyguard lodged a complaint regarding the firing at the Bandra police station. Later, he learnt that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi had confessed and claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post.

Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang members had earlier threatened to kill Salman and his relatives. The Sikandar actor said in his statement, “So I believe that Lawrence Bishnoi with the help of his gang members carried out the incident while my family members were sleeping and they were planning to kill me and my family members.” He told police that he and his family had received several other threats in the past few years.

Lawrence Bishnoi sent threatening letters to Salman Khan

In 2022, a threatening letter was found on a bench opposite Salman's apartment building. In March 2023, a threatening email was received from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to the actor. He mentioned that in January 2024, two unidentified individuals tried to enter his farmhouse near Panvel using fake identities.

Salman also noted that earlier this month, the police had filed a 1,735-page chargesheet in the dismissal case before the special court hearing cases under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act. The court recently admitted the chargesheet, saying there was enough evidence to prosecute the six accused who were arrested.

Those arrested in the case are Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Anujkumar Thapan (now deceased), Mohd Rafiq Choudhary and Harpal Singh. Anujkumar allegedly committed suicide in police custody after his arrest. The other five are currently in judicial custody.
