Popular Lobster Roll Week event kicks off at Mudgie's Deli in Corktown

Craving lobster? Starting next week, Corktown’s beloved Mudgies Deli and Wine Shop is bringing back its popular lobster roll for a limited time.

On Tuesday, Mudgies kicks off its Lobster Roll Week, which runs through August 3.

For years, Mudgies has flown in fresh lobster meat daily from a Maine source to make lobster rolls and, occasionally, other items, such as lobster bisque for its annual event.

At Corktown Restaurant, fresh lobster meat is lightly seasoned with mayonnaise, celery and onion. The lobster meat is seasoned with herbs and lemon and served on a buttered and toasted bun.

Mudgies Lobster Rolls will be available for take-out or dine-in on a first-come, first-served basis and no reservations will be accepted.

Lobster rolls are $34 and are served with a dill pickle. A lobster salad is also $34 and features the same lobster mixture as the roll, but served over a bed of greens. A lobster and wine special is $80 and includes two lobster rolls and a bottle of Italian dry rosé.
