Get ready to feel nostalgic as Santa Monica goes old school with a new Roller ice rink located in the heart of downtown.

Tickets are now on sale for Roll @ Santa Monica, a seasonal ice skating rink that opens August 10 and runs through October 14. The 4,800-square-foot outdoor rink will be located at 1324 Fifth St. and will be open from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

While Santa Monica has long offered a ice skating rink This winter marks the first time the city will host a roller skating rink. And people can expect a nostalgic good time with themed nights on August 14, September 11 and October 9 from 6pm to 10pm that will feature music and other entertainment.

And if you don't know how to skate, don't worry because the LA Skate Hunnies, a female-founded skate group that offers lessons and hosts meetups and pop-up skate events, will be offering group skating lessons every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon.

A grand opening ceremony will be held from noon to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on August 10. Tickets are $18.14 per person, including tax, which includes skate rental for 120 minutes of skating. The rink is also available for private events.
