Every supernatural actor on the X-Files

The X-Files certainly influenced Supernaturalstyle and narration of the story, and quite a future Supernatural notables appeared in the previous show. To be more precise however, The X-Files influenced just about every show dealing with the supernatural and paranormal to do since, especially on network television. Small screen stories told through a combination of serialized main storylines and standalone “Monster of the Week” stories have remained a thing since Mulder and Scully launched the format, although it has become less common in recent years. the age of 13 episodes or fewer seasons.

To his credit, Supernatural has never hesitated to acknowledge his debt to The X-Files, directly referencing the show on several occasions, and giving it subtle signs that only fans would recognize even more often. While Sam and Dean Winchester may not be romantic interests like Mulder and Scully – much to the chagrin of some of the fanbase, as the show mocked – their mix of jokes and work from team is certainly partly inspired by them.

Mark Pellgrino

Mark Pellegrino is best known for playing Lucifer on Supernatural, as well as his most common ship, Nick. Sure The X-Files, Pellegrino played Derwood Spinks, in Season 7’s “Hungry”, an ex-convict who makes the mistake of blackmailing a monster and gets eaten alive for it. Pellegrino also played the mysterious Jacob on Lost.

Mark Sheppard

Long before Mark Sheppard was charming Supernatural fans as an evil villain – and later anti-hero – Crowley, the future King of Hell appeared on a season 1 X-Files episode titled “Fire”. He played the main villain Cecil Lively, a murderous psychopath with pyrokinesia, which is really not a good thing for anyone who crosses him.

Jim Beaver

Sure Supernatural, Jim Beaver plays the beloved supporting character Bobby Singer, the surrogate father of Sam and Dean. Beaver appeared in season 6 X-Files episode “Field Trip,” a popular fan choice for this season’s best. When Mulder goes missing to investigate a case, Scully works with the local coroner to find him, played by Beaver.

Mitch pileggi

The presence of Mitch Pileggi is the most direct connection to the screen between The X-Files and Supernatural, because he played a major role in both programs. Pileggi of course became a household name as Walter Skinner, the FBI boss of Mulder and Scully, and later played Samuel Campbell, Sam and Dean’s resurrected grandfather.

Steven williams

Steven Williams is a very prolific character actor, but Mr. X, a mysterious government informant who leaks information to Mulder, is probably his most famous role. He also played the charismatic bounty hunter Creighton Duke in Jason is going to hell. Sure Supernatural, Williams played Rufus Turner, a close friend and Bobby’s hunting partner.

Rachel miner

The shortest of Supernatural and X-Files The actor crossovers on this list go to Rachel Miner, who played most fans’ favorite incarnation of the demon Meg. Meg has shared a kiss with Castiel before and to say fans are excited would be an understatement. Miner played a brief uncredited appearance as an FBI analyst in X-Files “Pusher” from season 3.

Nicki aycox

Speaking of Meg, Nicki Aycox played a previous incarnation of Meg on Supernatural. Sure The X-Files, she appeared in the Season 7 episode “Rush,” playing a character with the rather exotic dancer name of Chastity Raines. She is one of the many high school students who discover a mysterious cave that gives them super speed.

Amanda Tapping

Sure Supernatural, Amanda Tapping plays Naomi, who had a very complex relationship with Castiel, to say the least. Yet, she has been shown to care deeply about the protection of heavenly souls. Sure The X-Files, Tapping played Carina Sayles in Season 3’s “Avatar”, who has an overnight affair with Skinner, but ends up dying afterward.

Emily perkins

Emily Perkins first stood out as a young Beverly Marsh in the 1990s HE miniseries, then later played one of the protagonists of the cult werewolf film Ginger biscuits. Sure Supernatural, Perkins played Becky Rosen, a super fan in Sam and Dean’s universe. Sure The X-Files, she played Roberta Dyer, half-angel / half-human, in “All Souls” of season 5.

Fredric lehne

Another consummate character actor, Fredric Lehne has over 100 credits on his CV. Sure Supernatural, he played Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon who killed Sam and Dean’s mother. Fans would be forgiven if they didn’t recognize him retroactively, as he almost looks completely different now.

Benito Martinez is another familiar face of television, having played notable roles on shows like Card castle, Sons of anarchy, The shield, and more. Sure Supernatural, Martinez played Edgar, a high ranking lieutenant of Leviathan leader Dick Roman. Martinez played an ordered in season 6 X-Files episode “The Beginning”.

Chad Lindberg returned as a tech expert wearing mules, Ash on Supernatural, based at the Roadhouse bar operated by Jo and Ellen Harvelle, friends of Sam and Dean. In X-Files Season 5 episode “Schizogeny”, Lindberg played Bobby Rich, a troubled teenager who at first seems to be responsible for a few deaths.

Sure Supernatural, AJ Buckley returned as Ed Zeddemore, a self-proclaimed paranormal investigator and leader of the “Ghostfacers” group. His name obviously refers to Winston Zeddemore of ghost hunters. Buckley once played a small role called “Dude” in X-Files Season 3 “Coprophagus War”.
