Because the coronavirus is not the only thing that people in India are currently struggling with. They also face problems such as the economic downturn, the shortage of basic necessities, and workers on daily wages who are most affected by the blockage.

Here is a list of Bollywood celebrities who are giving money to support families who are in desperate need of this help right now.

1. Akshay Kumar

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar donated 25 crore rupees to PM PM Narendra Modis PM CARES Fund. Talking about making such a huge donation, Twinkle Khanna went to Twitter to quote Akshay Kumar and wrote: I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I refrain from doing everything what I can for those who have nothing.

2. Prabhas

Bollywoods Baahubali Prabhas has also donated Rs 4 crores to fight coronavirus. Apparently, out of this amount, Rs. 3 crore will go to the PM relief fund and Rs. 50 lakh each will go to the relief funds of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

3. Kartik Aaryan

The actor Kartik Aaryan also went on Twitter to announce that he was contributing 1 crore of rupees to the PM-CARES fund. He wrote: Whatever I am, whatever money I have made, it is only thanks to the Indian people. He further urged his fans and followers to help out as much as possible.

4. Shilpa Shetty

Actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have pledged to donate Rs 21 Lakhs. His message said: For humanity, our country and our fellow citizens who need us; it’s time, let’s do our part. Raj Kundra and I promise 21 lakes at the PM-CARES Narendra Modi Jis Fund. Every drop in the ocean counts, so I urge you all to help fight this situation.

5. Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth donated 50 lakhs of rupees to workers at the Federation of South Indian Film Industry Employees (FEFSI) after an epidemic of coronavirus and lock-in resulted in the suspension of filming.

6. Varun Dhawan

The actor Varun Dhawan has pledged to donate 30 rupees to the PM-CARES fund. He wrote on Twitter, we will overcome this. Desh hai toh hum hain. He pledged to donate additional Rs. 25 lakhs to the relief fund of Maharashtra CMs.

7. Bhushan Kumar

The T series Bhushan Kumar has pledged to donate 11 crores of rupees to the CM relief fund. He went to Twitter to urge people to donate money and wrote: Today we are all at a really crucial stage and it is extremely important to do everything we can to help. I, as well as all my family in the T series, pledge to donate 11 crore rupees to the PM-CARES fund. We can and will fight this together.

8. Virat-Anushka

The powerful Bollywood and Cricket couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma also pledged their support for the PM-CARES fund and the relief fund for chiefs of chiefs in Maharashtra. They shared the news on social media and wrote: Our hearts are broken by watching the suffering of so many people and we hope that our contribution, in a way, will help relieve the pain of our fellow citizens. However, the couple did not disclose the amount of their donation.

9. Kapil Sharma

The actor-actor Kapil Sharma also donated 50 lakh Rs to the PM relief fund to fight against the coronavirus. He wrote It was time to hang out with those who need us. Contribute 50 lakh rupees to the MP relief fund for #fightagainstcorona. Ask everyone about #stayhome #staysafe #jaihind #PMrelieffund @narendramodi.

10. Rajkummar Rao

Newton actor Rajkummar Rao also donated to the PM Relief Fund and CM Relief fund without disclosing the amount. He also donated to Zomato Feeding India to help feed families in need.

11. Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan purchased N95 masks and FFP3 masks for workers at BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) as they continue to work despite knowledge of potential health threats. According to reports, he contributed Rs 20 lakh to the cause.

12. Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif also went on social networks to announce that she had promised her support to the PM-CARES Fund to fight against the coronavirus. She will also make a donation to the relief fund of Maharashtra CM; however, the amount was not disclosed. She wrote in her post, I agree to make a donation to the PM CARES fund and to the Chief Minister Relief Fund Maharashtra. It was heartbreaking to see the difficulties and suffering that this pandemic has unleashed in the world.

13. Randeep Hooda

The actor Randeep Hooda is known for always making an extra effort for the well-being of society, has always been at the forefront when it comes to environmental and social causes. This time too, he stepped forward to help the nation fight this deadly virus. Randeep Hooda and Jay Patel pledged to donate 1 crore Rs to the PM CARES fund and workers of The Daily Wage and urged fans and others to do the same.
