Dacre Montgomery is a man of many talents.
In an article published on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, the 25-year-old Stranger Things star revealed that he had recently signed a publishing contract.
The Australian actor is about to release a poetry book with publisher Andrews McMeel, the same publisher behind Cody Simpson’s next poetry book.

“Very happy to share this news with all of you!” Dacre announced on Instagram Stories, with the still untitled book due out later this year.
Although he found stardom as Billy Hargrove in the Netflix Stranger Things series, Dacre did not hide his passion for poetry.
In an interview with The New York Times in July of last year, he spoke of his poetry podcast, DKMH, describing it as “a very cathartic experience”.

“I have been doing a podcast for over two years. It is a kind of fusion of rhythmic poetry that I have been writing for a long time and I have collected six separate pieces, ” he said at the time.
“Eight months ago, I started to approach musicians from all over the world to help me compose scores on which I could tell my poetry beat.
Fellow Aussie Cody Simpson is also expected to publish a book of poems with the same publishing company, with his first book, Prince Neptune, due out next week.

“It’s like my notebook. It all started when I was 18 at Venice Beach, recording my poems, visions, thoughts, ” wrote the 23-year-old singer on Instagram in February.
He added: “ At 23, it is completed, bound, published and ready to get your hands on April 7. ”
This week, Cody announced that he had to cancel his accompanying book tour due to the coronavirus, but would instead conduct a “ live book signing ” on Instagram.
