IIn the aftermath of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood has been beset by sections of the media. The conversation went from outsiders and nepotism to slandering the whole industry as drugs with no morals. The media have also found allies in movie stars like Kangana Ranaut. Every night in prime time, a news anchor criticized Bollywood culture and how rot should be treated. The stars have been named and humiliated without any proof, as rumor and WhatsApp transfers have replaced newsletters. While the murder theory was hushed up, some channels took a terrific turn, while others quietly moved on to other stories.
Bollywood, however, has not forgotten. On October 12, a civil action was filed in the Delhi High Court by four Bollywood industry associations and 34 Bollywood producers against Republic TV, Arnab Goswami and Pradeep Bhandari (of Republic TV), Times Now, Rahul Shivshankar and Navika Kumar (of Times Now) and the unknown defendants as well as social media platforms to refrain from making or posting irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory comments against Bollywood.

Studios that filed the petition include Shah Rukh Khans Red Chillies Entertainment, Salman Khan Films, Aamir Khan Productions, Ajay Devgn Films, Karan Johars Dharma Productions and Farhan Akhtars Excel Entertainment. It’s hard to bring all these Bollywood stars together at an awards night, but they’ve come together to take on the country’s toxic news channels.
The filmmakers who are members of the guild are Rohit Shetty, Kabir Khan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Ramesh Sippy, Rakesh Roshan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Ritesh Sidhwani, Sajid Nadiadwala, Luv Ranjan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vishal Bhardwaj, Zoya Mehtarark, Rubeys Akhtark. .
Red Chillies, YRF, Dharma, Aamir Khan Production and SRK’s Salman Khan, among several other producers, file civil suit against Republic TV, Times Now, Arnab Goswami, Navika Kumar, Rahul Shivshankar and Pradeep Bhandari for defamatory reporting against the industry .

The lawsuit called on channels as well as social media platforms to refrain from making or posting irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory comments against Bollywood and its members. He pointed out that Republic TV and Times Now have used very derogatory words for Bollywood such as dirt, grime, scum, drugs and phrases like this is the dirtiest industry in the country, and cocaine and LSD have soaked Bollywood.
Through a press release, it was stated that the plaintiffs are not seeking a blanket gag order against media reporting of the investigation into the cases relating to the death of Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput or FIR No. 15 and 16/2020 filed by the NCB [Narcotics Control Bureau], Mumbai. Plaintiffs are simply seeking a perpetual and binding injunction against the defendants so that they do not prosecute the reporting and publication of material that violates applicable laws.
Quite certain that this trial was led by Farah Khan. https://t.co/0gfpSlk41u

The President of the Screenwriters Association, Robin Bhatt, said The QuintWe got together because some news channels put Bollywood in a place where they called them drug addicts, bad guys. Their criterion is not correct. Everyone was hurt. So we all decided that we couldn’t take it anymore and we moved to court.
Thirty-four Bollywood production houses, including #KaranJohar, #ShahRukhKhan, #Aamir Khan, #Salman Khan, #FarhanAkhtarstudios, brought an action against #ArnabGoswami, #NavikaKumar for defamation of the film industry.https://t.co/L7kx2eUwHP

The same day Parle G (and Baja Auto earlier) decided to take the listing off toxic news channels, Bollywood also took legal action. Is this the end of hate television?
The biggest studios, production houses and organizations in Bollywood have come together to sue Republic TV, Times Now and its publishers, on the same day that some of India’s most respected companies (Bajaj, Parle-G) put on blacklist of hate tv channels for advertising.

Bollywood is clearly tired of being slandered on imma bounce channels as even Karan Johar takes a stand

We never know. Activist Saket Gokhale called the trial a pure eye wash.
It’s a mutual scratching of the back.
Bollywood can claim to have finally discovered their backbone (after public outrage) while Times Now / Republic gets brownie points for being such lonely crusaders that they’ve made Bollywood take them to court.
Cookies for everyone.

Entertainment reporter Ankur Pathak echoed his views. .., how many stars / studios will be pulling out of Medianet, saying no to Filmfare covers, abandoning interviews and Femina / Zoom / Radio Mirchi appearances at awards shows, a time when the Times is desperately desperate for their presence ? he wrote on Twitter.

The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
