Easter egg quarantine hunt promises fun while social distance | Draft

Katie Just hopes to help people celebrate Easter and bring some color and joy to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He has just organized the Emporia Easter Egg Quarantine Area, an event where households, businesses and organizations are invited to “hunt” for Easter eggs while practicing social distancing. People can take part in decorating eggs – as simple or complex as they would like to make – and placing them in windows. Then families can walk around their neighborhoods on April 11 and calculate how many eggs they see along the way.
“I first saw a post on St. Patrick’s Day that encouraged people to paint sequins for their children to find,” Just said. “I thought it was a little late, but I absolutely wanted to do something for Easter. My daughter is almost 2 years old, and I was deeply expecting to attend an Easter egg hunt with her this year.”
It has just been said that the realization that Easter eggs are being hunted in the community delays the delay or cancellation has prompted her to take action.
“Anticipating that this would not happen, I decided to create an event on Facebook with the ambitious goal of putting an Easter egg in every window for the Emporia kids to enjoy – and to be able to engage in activity with their active child,” she said.

Eggs can stay up as long as families want them throughout the Easter weekend, and Just encourages families to share their experiences through photos on the event’s Facebook page. They can also video call friends and family who may not be able to get out.
Just said, with restraining orders throughout the county through April 25, it is important to practice social distancing if they choose to engage in egg hunting.
“Because we want it to be a safe activity, I recommend families go for a walk in their neighborhood whenever they usually go out for a walk,” she said. “If you see others around you, be sure to stay on opposite sides of the street or at least a meter and a half apart.”
