Veteran actor through the KKR franchise and his NGO Meer Foundation has teamed up to help the governments of Maharashtra and West Bengal to provide 50,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) to health professionals and to provide essential food products to 5,500 families in Mumbai. He also announced the opening of a kitchen that would provide 2,000 meals a day to households and hospitals.
