Nederlander Concerts to Book Hollywood Earl Carroll Theater Exclusively
The independent promoter Nederlander Concerts has been selected to exclusively book the restored Earl Carroll theater in Hollywood.The long-term promotion and booking agreement adds to the list of Nederlanders Hollywood, which includes the Pantages Theater and Broadway in Hollywood at the Dolby Theater.
The Earl Carroll Theater, with a capacity of approximately 1,800 seats, on Los Angeles' famous Sunset Strip, isa 38,000 square foot entertainment complex in the heart of Hollywood and undergoing a multi-million dollar restoration. Phase I of the restoration includes the exterior, the hall, the changing rooms and the theater. The theater should reopen in early 2021.

The Earl Carroll Theater is operated byinvestor and real estate entrepreneur Brian Levian andThaddeus Hunter Smith, who is the entrepreneur behind the very successful Music Box Theater at The Fonda in Los Angeles. Smith and Levian have signed a multi-year lease to revitalize the world famous theater and selected Nederlander Concerts to book and promote concerts throughout of the year.

Completed in 1938,the nightclub designed by Gordon B. Kaufmann has contributed to the rise of radio, television and entertainment stations in the neighborhood anchored by Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street. From 1997 to 2017, the Earl Carroll Theater housed the television production studios of Nickelodeon, and before that, it was called the Aquarius Theater.
