Something fun: Nevada County restaurant owners cook burgers for neighbors

Suzie and George Dyer concluded that they could communicate with their neighbors without actually communicating.
The co-owners of South Pine and Pine Street Burger decided to cook burgers for their Nevada neighbors last week. On Friday night, they left cookies on their signatures on Pine Street drawers at their neighbors’ front doors.
“We figured it would be a fun way to interact with the neighbors without actually communicating with the neighbors,” Suzie Dyer said.
The couple emailed their neighbors to see how many people would be interested in the burger, and what are the possible dietary restrictions. George Dyer estimated that about 25 burgers were served in 10 homes.

“(Our neighbors) gave us everything back,” he said. “The answer has not been delayed.”
Suzie Dyer said she would head to the Pine Street Burger in the afternoon to drink some more milk for them.
“That’s how we have a neighborhood party with no fun,” she said.
