Katharine McPhee re-wears the ‘American Idol’ dress from 14 years ago: ‘Day 26 of the quarantine’

Katharine McPhee returns to her days on “American Idol” in quarantine.

The 36-year-old singer went to Instagram Monday to share a photo of her wearing a dress she wore on stage during a competition on “Idol”.

The yellow dress had a low V-shaped cut, a high slit on the thigh and was buttoned on the front.

The message contained two photos, one of McPhee wearing the dress today and a second of McPhee wearing the dress 14 years ago, in the fifth season of the popular singing contest.

Little seems to have changed for McPhee in all these years, except for his hair, which was long and curly in the return photo, and simply hung behind his back in the modern photo.

“It is day 26 of the forties and we are going out of the dresses of 14 years ago,” wrote the singer in the legend. “We may have to resuscitate this moment, on a red carpet, once we are out of there.”

McPhee also made reference to his time on “Idol” with an Instagram post on Saturday.

The message included a video of McPhee comically recreating his audition for the competition show, spliced with images of the judges from his original audition.

The video starts with the iconic “American Idol” logo and the theme music before the audio by Simon Cowell: “Hi honey, what’s your name?”

The signatory-actress conducts a conversation with the judges in the sequence as if they were present in the room.

The message was made to promote an upcoming Instagram Live concert on the theme “American Idol”.

McPhee and her husband David Foster regularly held Instagram Live concerts during the quarantine of coronaviruses.
