Twin football games lead Fox to win odds | Entertainment
NEW YORK (AP) Two weekday football games were enough to bring Fox to victory in the race for weekly scores.
Network coverage of Tuesday’s game between Dallas and Baltimore, and Thursday’s game between New England and the Los Angeles Rams have occupied all of their prime time schedules for the night.
The Nielsen Company said CBS’s 60 Minutes was the most-watched non-football show of the week. The venerable drama NCIS was the most popular entertainment program.
Fox averaged 7.3 million prime-time viewers for the week. NBC was second with 5.2 million viewers, CBS with 4.6 million, ABC with 3.8 million, Univision with 1.4 million, Telemundo with 1.01 million and Ion Television with 960,000.
Fox News Channel leads the cable network, averaging 2.69 million prime-time viewers. ESPN had 2.22 million, MSNBC 2.09 million, CNN 1.77 million, and Hallmark 1.6 million.
ABC’s World News Tonight led the evening news audience race with an average of 9.4 million viewers. NBC’s Nightly News had 7.9 million and CBS Evening News 5.7 million.
