A difficult journey. Natalie Anderson was one of the firsts in her first season of The challenge, but had to leave during the Wednesday, Jan. 13 episode after learning she was pregnant.
For me the money was basically in my pocket, the check was already written, said the reality star, 34 Us weekly to have to leave Double agents. After revealing that her period was late during a FaceTime call to her sister, Nadiya Anderson, production gave her a pregnancy test and it was positive.

It was, like, this strange wave of happiness, shock, surprise, disappointment. I didn’t even process what I was actually feeling. I was just like, how am I pregnant? I want to earn this money! I love my boyfriend, but he’s not here. It was just the most embarrassing way to find out that you are pregnant as it could have been an amazing feeling, but I didn’t get a chance to feel this because I was so confused and torn to have to leave the game, but also it was super excited and happy.
After that, she returned from Iceland, reuniting with her boyfriend, Devin Perez, and walked over to the doctor.
I could finally breathe and embrace the pregnancy in a way that I hadn’t felt while I was there. I was kissing now in a different light. I realized that everything was happening for a reason. I had to give up winning, potentially, half a million dollars. But on the other hand, I can embrace this cool trip with someone I love and trust to be my partner in life, the MTV star shared with us. After a doctor’s appointment, she got confirmation that she was eight weeks pregnant.
Unfortunately, a week later, she started to have cramps and had a miscarriage. She chose to share her story in the hope that she would help others.
I kind of came to peace by quitting the game and saying goodbye to the competition of The challenge, whom I adore, came home and changed my mindset for this new journey. And then it was taken from me. It was hard for me, Natalie said. I just did whatever I needed to make my peace with what had happened and accept the difficulty of everything, but also use it as a way to strengthen my bond with my boyfriend. I think it was definitely a success or a breakup for us because it was so emotional and I’m really proud to come out of it. I dreaded the broadcast of the show because it would remind me of everything I had been through.
