Danny Trejo donates hundreds of free meals from his Trejo’s Tacos restaurant to USC Verdugo Hills Hospital
Los Angeles actor and native Danny Trejo is doing his part to help feed hospital workers during the COVID-19 epidemic.
The 75-year-old Machete star said on social media on Wednesday that he spent the day donating food from his Trejo’s Tacos restaurants at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale.
He shared a photo of him with stacks of food containers awaiting distribution, as well as a 10-minute video of the actor and his crew distributing food.

Trejo was seen wearing a black Trejo’s Tacos t-shirt, a black Trejo’s Tacos hat and blue jeans with a long silver chain and a cross pendant hanging from his neck.
The actor also wore latex gloves and a white mask that covered his face and nose while he distributed the food.
The actor owns three Trejo’s Tacos restaurants in Los Angeles, which he uses to give back to the community during this difficult time.

“Right now, I’m in Verdugo Hills hospital, sitting with the real angels in Los Angeles right now,” Trejo started in his video.
He added that he was simply trying to “do his part” by bringing food, “but these are the people who save lives.”

One of the Trejo’s Tacos restaurants is located in the colony kitchen in Santa Monica, Trejo adding that five different restaurants, “in the colony have donated 100 plates, so everyone is helping everyone.”
Colony also teamed up with Help Feed the Frontline Fighting COVID-19 LA during this crisis to feed healthcare workers.
