COVID-19: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty Offers Money to Entertainment Photographers

As the lockdown of COVID-19 led to the suspension of filming and forced celebrities to stay indoors, it was not only daily workers in the industry who were unemployed. Independent entertainment photographers have also been hit hard because celebrities don’t go out to the gym or travel.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has helped these photographers by transferring money to their bank accounts. According to Instagram posts by entertainment photographers Viral Bhayani and Yogen Shah, Shetty sent money directly to the photographers’ bank accounts.

In difficult times, the film industry is so badly hit and a man who came forward and helped Cine employees with his donation also went the extra mile to help the paps. Other than that, the director also donated 51 lakh rupees to the Federation of West Indian Employees (FWICE) to help day laborers in the film industry, media reports said.

Shettys next movie, Sooryavanshi, the third film in his detective world after Ajay Devgns Singham and Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba, will be released once the lock is released. The film was originally scheduled to be released on March 24.
